1. Quaid-e-Azam University
Quaid-e-Azam University – formerly known as Islamabad University, was established in 1967 and is based in Islamabad.
It has a number of faculty members, and core areas of research include biology, physics, social sciences, and medicine.
The campus is located in the foothills of the Margalla Hills, a mountain range behind the Himalayas. It is famous for being a good place for bird watching as well as hiking and climbing. A canal runs through the campus.

The Comcast University of Islamabad was established in 1994 for the Sustainable Development of Science for Technology in the South, an intergovernmental organization aimed at promoting sustainable development in developing countries through science and technology.
