Ramiz Raja has been nominated as the next chairman of PCB. The former Test captain turned commentator remained in the limelight on social media for the entire week, where people shared their opinions about his selection for the said post. Though it was not confirmed until Thursday about who will be PM Imran’s choice, but people, in spite of that, were quite sure that he will the next PCB chairman.
Majority shared their opinions, saying that Raja is not fit the chairman position but Prime Minister Imran Khan thinks otherwise. PM being the Patron-in-chief has referred Raja for the post along with Asad Ali Khan.
Fawad Alam scored a century in the second Test against West Indies. The century helped him jump 34 places in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings to reach 21st spot. With this one, Fawad has now scored four centuries since his return to cricket last year. His total centuries in Test format are five.
Social media lauded Fawad’s performance and slammed PCB for wasting 10 years of his life.
Pakistan concluded its two-match Test series against West Indies this week, with 1-1. The trend remained popular on Twitter in Pakistan where people latest news and opinions about the second Test match. The social media also praised Babar Azam, Fawad Alam, Shaheen Afridi and Azhar Ali for their amazing performances.
Junaid Safdar, the son of Pakistani politician and the Vice President of PML-N Maryam Nawaz, became the talk of the town after videos of his singing during his wedding got viral over the internet. Pakistani social media, which also included celebrities and prominent individuals, praised the young man’s singing talent and his melodious voice.
Doctors today, gathered in Barkat market Lahore to protest against the NLE examination that was going to be held today in Saphire Hall. However, the protest soon turned violent after police arrived at the scene and started disbursing the crowd from the area.
