Pakistan’s education system
It has been the misfortune of our dear country Pakistan that most of the sectors of our country have been subjected to various experiences since the establishment of Pakistan. The foremost among them is the education sector.
History has shown that Muslims have prospered in religion and the world by ascending to education and training, and whenever they have turned away from education, they have fallen into decline. That is why education is the backbone of any society. Whenever the enemy of Islam, Anna Sar, wanted to make this nation a target of terrorism, he first attacked educational institutions and madrassas.
But we need to clarify the objectives of our education system by abolishing the RTA system and making the students mindful through practical activities. The race of grades and marks has promoted the RTA system. Students ask a few questions that have been appearing in the exams for the last few years and pass the exams by flipping through some gas papers and after completing the degree they are not able to guide anyone about their degree. Even after passing the MA, the majority of students do not even know how to apply for a job.
The education system should include secular sciences as well as religious sciences as a compulsory subject. Religious education acquaints us with the purpose of life. It makes us a good Muslim. It gives us a purpose to live, a conscious consciousness. The government wants education to be taught as a compulsory subject, regardless of the degree. Mr. Chips’ novel has been taught in the FA for years. Life has nothing to do with distance. My request to the government of the day is to replace Mr. Chips’ novel with Life of Muhammad so that students can benefit from the affairs of Muhammad’s life and At this stage of your life, try to make your life like his by reading the life of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and not do everything that is happening in today’s shameful universities.
English is preferred over the national language while Urdu is our national language and the identity of every nation is one language. The Urdu language is being chased after the English medium by understanding the Urdu language less. However, Urdu language is modern science. There is no obstacle in the way of learning. History has shown that Muslims have been the founders of all the sciences and arts of the present time. And even today, books of Muslims are being taught in European universities. The material resources are due to the Muslims.
I urge all intellectuals, journalists, educators to know the fact that we have not created a gulf between our own people by adopting the education system of others, which has resulted in humiliation. And nothing but misguidance. Our education system should have been such that it would have established a relationship between our people and religious values in which there would have been a belief in God. But our degree should be young leaders and colleges and universities. After graduation, they have only status and in order to achieve this, they become social animals. Selfishness prevails instead of godliness. Therefore, we have to clarify the objectives of our education system. And we have to pay attention to the real disease. Many governments have claimed to change this education system but when they come to power then everyone forgets. Let’s read a poem by Javed Shaheen.
Wherever I stand, there is
only so much space for me. My body is
scorched by hot winds. My feet are paralyzed by cold waters. I will stand where I am standing .
