Answer:
The wind is described as a cruel monster that causes destruction, as it is “roaring” and “smashing” leveling all men’s efforts. The wind has been personified as a “monster of destruction”, that is powerful enough to take everything from valleys and vales with it.

Answer: 
Wind is compared with “monster of destruction”, that knocks down all man-made structures and buildings to the ground. It is fierce and giant.

Answer:
Wind is causing a lot of destruction, due to its unbeatable power. Nothing can stand in its way. It is leveling man’s efforts to the ground. It makes everything falls down and breaks them.

Answer:
The scene is completely opposite to the scene when the wind is “roaring”.  There are bright blue skies and all that is heard is a gentle whisper from far away. These whispers are giving no indication for the change in weather so, they are “unimportant”. The whole environment creates an eternal silence.

Answer:
There is a wide difference in the attitude of wind blowing in the second stanza. Here the wind is quite gentle and becomes the main cause of life for birds, buds and other living things. The poem is plentiful with imagery. Poet has made rich use of imagery to beautify the poem. The vivid images of sight and sound create a word picture of what the poetess sees and hears,when the wind blows.
The poetess opens with a scene when wind rages in storm. It blows with “roaring” and “smashing” like a”monster of destruction”. It “rakes” all men work. and “sends” every thing through “breaking” and”flying”.
In second stanza, the poet completely changes the mood of wind through using imagery like ” gentle whisper” and “eternal stillness”.

Stanza 1:

But this is not its basic truth rather the truth is its eternal stillness and bright blue calm sky that makes you hear nothing but gentle whisper which gives no sign for the change in weather.

“Peace” is a metaphorical poem written by Dr. Hartmann which gives a beautiful description of the two aspects of the wind. The poet opens the poem with a scene when wind rages in storm. It blows with furry and knocks down everything like a monster of destruction. It destructs everything that man has made. It makes them spin, rolls, breaks and flies into the air. The destructive aspect of wind is quite dominant, yet it is not the sole reality. We have to experience storms to enjoy peace. The poet draws our attention towards the fact that there may be destruction off and on in the world. But in its essence, the world is a peaceful place. The problem is that we do not value peace when it is there. We only remember the destruction. Answer:
Natural disaster is a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of Earth, which includes floods, volcanic eruption, earthquakes, or other geological processions. A natural disaster can cause loss of life or property and leaves economic damage in its wake. The severity of the damage depends on the affected population’s resilience, or ability to recover.
The flood of 2010 in Pakistan was a natural disaster that it has faced in hundred years or more. It was even greater calamity or catastrophe as compared to Asian Tsunami, the mighty storm in America or earthquake here in Pakistan.
The floods began in July after the heavy monsoon rains in the Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh and Lower Punjab. Around one-fifth of the total area came under flood storm. Twenty million people lost their shelters and many lost their lives. The affected people had to leave their houses to stay on high grounds under natural shelter and hastily arrange camps. The heavy monsoon rains filled the waterways and rivers beyond their capacity.
The government sent rescue teams  and medical teams to the affected areas after the calamity to rehabilitate the affectees. Futhermore, the government built small dams on the waterways and raised the embankments by putting common people on work. In this way, the floodwater was stored for the future use.

Answer:
We can raise the status of our country by following the message and teaching of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W). Practical examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) give us hints to implement Islamic law and order in our country and to promote justice and equality.
2) What will be the effect of sunshine over raindrops?

Answer:
Sunshine after the rain creates an exuberant effect through peeping into every single dark raindrop it lights up those raindrops and hence creates a magnificent view.  
3) What role can media play in bringing harmony in society?

Answer:
Media plays a role in bringing harmony to a country. Media makes people listen and see and therefore forces them to reflect on a message.  As an instrument to make a difference in society, it motivates people for action and improves the life of your environment. Many of our communities in the world are fully supplied and managed through media.    
4) Co-curricular activities prepare students for the future. How?

Answer:
Co-curricular activities make a well- rounded student. These activities are particularly good at providing opportunities for students to work in teams, to exercise leadership, and to take the initiative themselves. These experiences make students more attractive to universities and to become potential employees.

i) What is the main idea of the letter?
Answer:
The letter is about taking safety measures against monsoon rain that hits the area and causes destruction. The letter is written in order to provide some precautionary measures and make arrangements to save people from great loss and provide them shelter, security, and food.

Answer:
The writer is of the opinion that the disaster management team should visit the affected areas to educate and train the affected people and to find out their losses. Answer:
The writer has given very logical arguments regarding safety arrangements but he should also focus on how different departments can win support and cooperation of the common people in the tasks that they have to perform.

Answer:
Disaster management team should visit the villages to educate and train people in the Monsoon season. Arrangements should be made to help out people who get badly affected by the heavy rains. Shelter, food, medicines and other necessary items should be provided. People should be provided with security. Sanitation department should clear nullahs so to ensure smooth flow of rainwater. Pumps should be installed in areas so to drain out excess water. The medical team should visit these areas to provide basic health facilities to the affectees.
