UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the closure of educational institutions due to the global coronavirus outbreak has plunged an entire generation into crisis.
Speaking at a video conference on the sidelines of the launch, he said the aim of the UN campaign was to draw attention to the need to restore formal education in the post-coronavirus world.  More than one billion children in the country are deprived of formal education while at least 40 million children have not been able to start pre-school education.
He added that students with disabilities, minorities and vulnerable communities, refugees and the displaced  There is also a serious risk of the children of individuals falling behind in the field of education. The Secretary General said that at present 250 million students worldwide are out of school and this is a huge educational crisis.
Returning students to school after the eradication of the coronavirus should be a top priority.
Guttierez said that now we are facing the destruction of an entire generation.  It could exacerbate inequality. He also called for more investment in education, saying that even before the global epidemic, poor and developing countries need less than  trillion a year in funding.  Samantha, which also includes investments in digital education and infrastructure.
The world is now so advanced in the field of modern science and technology that its competition is no longer limited to the developing poor countries. Facilities like social media, computers, internet and Facebook have also kept children away from education.  Thanks to the “remote control” system, cheap laziness has taken root in our nation, as well as the way to get people to their homes through the “online” system.  Have started to create many problems.
In the days of the Corona virus, the process of encouraging children to get an “online” education has not yielded the desired results. The tragedy is that the majority of students do not have access to the Internet and computers.  That is why it is difficult to educate them “online”. That is why many children have written in their educational institutions that they cannot take the exam “online”.  Due to the coronavirus, some bright students have been promoted to the next class without taking the exam, but even then some students were not considered eligible, which is causing frustration among them.
The biggest injustice done to children by the government is that they have been kept under house arrest for more than six months. During this time, the children have not only focused on education, but have also spent most of their time on mobile, internet and Facebook.
Thus, the education of children is constantly being harmed and the government is still not willing to open educational institutions. A few years ago, after the martyrdom of children in the tragedy of APS Peshawar, a song was introduced to the nation:  But here the situation is that the children of the enemy can read or not?
We have taken our own infants away from education and we do not even realize that. The current situation  I will be saddened that now whenever educational institutions are opened, going to school will be a problem for the children. And attracting them back to education will be like gambling. The need is that we take care of our children.  Formulate a policy for a bright future in the light of which, in the light of “Karuna or any other serious crisis, our children can continue their education.”  The practice has put a question mark on the future of the children. Therefore, the government will have to take steps to find a suitable solution to this problem.
